Gerardo Diego was arguably the least known of Spain’s “generation of 27,” which included Federico Garcia Lorca.

Written in 1922 when the poet was 26, Handbook of Foams was one of the most important eruptions in the early phase of the 20th century Spanish avant-garde. Aragón’s rendering is the first English translation.
