The 2027 Bethesda Fine Arts Festival will be held May 8 & 9, 2027 and will feature fine art created by 120 of the nation’s best artists, live entertainment and Bethesda restaurants. Our award-winning festival regularly places in Sunshine Artist’s prestigious Top 200 list, and is the highest-ranked show in Maryland for Fine Art & Design. The Bethesda Fine Arts Festival is a juried show that features fine art and fine craft in the following categories: Ceramics, Clothing/Fiber, Drawing, Furniture, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Wood.

Located in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle, along Norfolk, Auburn & Del Ray Avenues. Admission to the festival is FREE and parking is available in the public parking garage on Auburn Avenue. This event is held rain or shine. 2026 Event Map.

Volunteer

More than 20,000 attendees will enjoy the festival and we need your support to make this event a great success. Help from volunteers is an essential part of Bethesda Urban Partnership’s exciting festivals.

We are recruiting for the following positions:

Set-Up Team & Booth Volunteers

The set-up team assists with distributing artist signs, setting out table cloths, etc. We ask that booth volunteers mind artists’ tents while they take a brief bathroom or lunch break. This is important as many of the artists travel alone and have no one to watch their space when they need a break. Additionally, we may ask booth volunteers to pass out water to artists.

Saturday, May 9	8am – 11am
Saturday, May 9	11:30am – 2pm; 2pm-4:30pm
Sunday, May 10	11:30am – 2pm; 2pm-4:30pm

Directions

From 187 (Old Georgetown Rd.) North:
– Proceed south on 187 past the National Institutes of Health
– Turn left onto Auburn Avenue
– Turn right into the Auburn-Del Ray garage.
– The event site is on Auburn Avenue.

From the Capital Beltway:
– Exit 495 at Wisconsin Avenue, Rt. 355, Rockville Pike
– Head South towards Bethesda
– Proceed south on 355 South past the National Institutes of Health
– Turn right onto Woodmont Avenue.
– At the second stop light, turn right into the Woodmont-Rugy parking garage.
– The event site is just around the corner on Del Ray, Auburn and Norfolk Avenues.    

From Bethesda Metro (Red Line):
– Exit Bethesda Metro and proceed up the long escalator.
– At the end escalator, proceed up a small escalator which will take you to the corner of Old Georgetown Road and Wisconsin Avenue.
– Walk down the hill on Old Georgetown Road away from Wisconsin Avenue.
– Walk six blocks.
– Make a right onto Auburn Avenue.
– The event site is located on Auburn Avenue.
