Join us for an evening with author and Maryland State Delegate representing Montgomery County, Lily Qi, who will discuss her new memoir, Elected American: From Red China to Blue Maryland, about her journey from Chairman Mao’s Cultural Revolution to the Maryland State House and her cultural community’s political awakening through her stormy first campaign. Qi brings a rare cross-system perspective to American politics and modern-day Asian American identity. In conversation with Ariana Kelly, former Maryland State Senator and currently the Executive Director of the Maryland Commission for Women.
