The Bainbridge Project
Fairmont & St. Elmo Avenues
The lot between Fairmont and St. Elmo Avenues, near Norfolk Avenue, is planned to be 17 stories and feature 200 residential units. The mixed-use building will encompass 210,000 square feet, including 7,700 square feet of ground floor retail. The building will also include an underground parking garage with 211 parking spots. A pedestrian pass-through with an art concept is also planned for the south side of the building to connect Fairmont and St. Elmo Avenues. Demolition of older buildings and underground work began in August 2011. |

Montgomery County Parking Lot 31
Woodmont & Bethesda Avenues
Montgomery County awarded development rights for parking lot 31 to PN Hoffman/Stonebridge joint venture firms. Two mixed-use buildings will provide 357,000 square feet of retail space. The project will also provide 1,300 underground parking spaces, expanding the number of parking spaces at this location.
Lot 31 closed on April 10, 2012. Woodmont Avenue, between Bethesda and Wisconsin Avenues closed September 7, 2012.

The Gallery of Bethesda
Auburn & Del Ray Avenues
Demolition began on May 14 on "The Gallery of Bethesda" residential building. The site at Rugby and Del Ray Avenues, which contained two-story commercial buildings, is being demolished this and next week.
The 17-story tower will contain 234 residential units, 4,600 square feet of retail and a ¼ acre public plaza. The Gallery of Bethesda's ground floor amenities are to include a fitness room, resident lounge and coffee bar. On the rooftop there will be a 4,000 square foot clubroom, pool and sundeck and a waterfall feature. |

Capital Crescent Trail
Repairs and improvements to Capital Crescent Trail’s shoulder and storm water management facilities will begin April 1, 2013 and will continue through mid-June. The trail will remain open during construction, but users are advised to use caution when passing through the construction areas. Click here for more information or call 301-495-2595. |
