Shop for pasture-raised meats and eggs, artisan cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, breads and baked goods, cut flowers, plants and more. Markets are open rain or shine. The Market will not be held on October 1, 2011.

Bethesda FRESHFARM Market Participants

Atwaters Bakery - Turning organic whole-grain flours and sourdough starters into bread. Atwater's hand-shaped, hearth-baked breads and pastries are made from scratch, without sugar or fats, using traditional methods and ingredients.

Black Rock Orchard - Black Rock Orchard offers a variety of fruit, from summer raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries, apricots, nectarines, peaches, Italian prune plums and more.

Four Seasons Nursery - Four Seasons Nursery sells a large variety of herbs and an array of plants including perennial and annual flowers. They also sell dried herbal wreaths, which are available later in the season.

Garden Path Farm - Garden Path raises heritage bred meats and eggs on pasture.

Gunpowder Bison - Gunpowder Bison & Trading sells flavorful meat in a variety of cuts: steaks, roasts, sausages and burgers. GBT bison meat is raised naturally: no hormones or antibiotics.

Knouse Fruitlands - Knouse Fruitlands grows over 30 varieties of apples, 22 varieties of peaches, as well as nectarines, plums, pears, apricots, cherries, corn, pumpkins, gourds, and vegetables.

Mock's Greenhouse - Home grown hydroponic vegetables including heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and a variety of greens and herbs.

Pleitez Produce - This 35-acre vegetable farm offers an array of fruits too, bringing strawberries and tomatoes to market each week.

Praline Bakery - Praline Bakery features fresh pastries, pies, tarts, cakes and French bread. This Bethesda bakery uses only the finest and purest ingredients they can find.

Spiral Path Farm - Spiral Path Farms grows a variety of certified organic vegetables, fruits and herbs and strives to provide the freshest food they can while keeping the land in a nontoxic state.

Spring Gap Mountain Creamery - Offering artisan cheeses from pasture raised Jersey cows including West Virginia Blue, Jersey Gold Gouda, Shenandoah Sunrise tomme, and Sophie’s Select cheddar.

Sunset Valley Farm - Sunset Valley Farm is a small family business operating a 40 cow dairy grazing operation, offering ice cream, cottage cheese and butter.
