SUMMARY:At the End of the World
DESCRIPTION:When the world is burning around you\, who do you want to be? In the wake of an apocalypse\, groups of teenagers discuss and explore their fears\, hopes\, and wishes in a desolate new world. Commissioned specifically for the Round House Theatre Teen Performance Company\, At the End of the World rages against injustice and violence\, while honoring the power of community\, friendship\, and taking action. \n\nThe Round House Theatre Teen Performance Company is a pre-professional program for the next generation of theatre artists. Round House gathers the region’s most creative young theatre artists and provides mentorship to them as they work on a play at our theatre. Selected students shadow productions on the Round House stage\, attend events and master classes with Round House company members\, and work closely with professional artists and practitioners at every step of the process. \nThe program culminates in The Sarah Metzger Memorial Play\, which is directed\, designed\, stage managed\, and performed by high school students. The Sarah Metzger Memorial Play was established by the Metzger family and friends to celebrate the memory of Sarah Metzger\, an inspiring and active member of the theatre community\, who was killed in an automobile accident during her freshman year of college.

SUMMARY:The Roundlings Present: Mission Improv-ible
DESCRIPTION:The Roundlings are Round House Theatre’s teen comedy ensemble. These whimsical wits write and develop their own original comedy sketches\, song parodies\, and stand-up comedy. They also thrive while performing short-form improvisation games and long-form improvised scenes. Their new show features audience interactivity\, spontaneous silliness\, and hopefully…a lot of laughs.

SUMMARY:Rules for Living
DESCRIPTION:A “raucous\, unbridled” (The Guardian) hit at London’s National Theatre\, Rules for Living has its American premiere at Round House this holiday season! The holidays are all about family\, but what happens when long-standing tensions\, buried resentments\, and hilariously disastrous coping mechanisms collide at Christmas dinner? In this inventive\, high-energy comedy\, the internal rules that the characters live by become visible\, turning every awkward pause\, biting remark\, and outburst into a brilliantly choreographed meltdown. Wickedly funny and all too relatable\, this is one family holiday gathering you won’t want to miss.
