The first biennial had bold beginnings as the Exhibition of Creative Arts at the National Collection of Fine Arts\, now known as the National Museum of American Art\, and today continues a long tradition of exhibiting at Strathmore.  \nMeet the Artist Guilds\nThe Creative Crafts Council Guilds will be on site to meet visitors and share their love of art and craft. Meet them on Sat\, March 29 and Sat\, April 26 from 11am to 2pm.

SUMMARY:49th Community Art Show & Sale
DESCRIPTION:The Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase is proud to announce  the upcoming 49th Annual Community Art Show and Sale! This 3-day event will include more than 400 pieces of artwork\, showcasing the amazing  talent of more than 125 artists in our community. \nArtwork will be exhibited and judged in 9 categories: Oil\, Acrylic\, Pastel\, Watercolor\, Mixed Media\, Prints & Drawings\, Photography\, Smalls\, and Other Media (for 2-D works in media such as glass\, wood\, metal\, and paper). \nThe judge for the show is Glen Kessler\, Founder and Director of The Compass Atelier in Rockville\, MD. Glen is an internationally collected and awarded artist who has also taught at the university and community level for over 20 years. He has a BFA from MICA and an MFA from New York Academy of Art. Awards will be given in each of the 9 show categories. \nThis annual event is free and open to the public and takes place at The Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase\, located at 7931 Connecticut Avenue\, Chevy Chase\, MD 20815 .
