April 20 - June 8 : Toddler and Me Dance Class

Toddler & Me dance classes are for children 18 months up to the age of 3 years. Music, movement, balance and the basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. This type of class includes mom or dad or another loved one participating in the class along with the little dancer. Our teachers will keep the music and curriculum moving while parents actively encourage, support, and keep the little dancer on track. The classes are held at the B-CC Regional Services Center. April 20 - June 8 : Ballet Tap Jazz

Ballet, Tap & Jazz combo classes are offered for children 3-6 years old at the B-CC Regional Services Center. This high energy dance class is designed to keep boys and girls engaged in continual motion while they learn the basic elements of dance including positions and terminology. We incorporate an even mix of the three types of dance over the 45 minute class time in a way that is fun and healthy for active children including exercising their bodies, imagination and singing voices! April 20 - June 8 : Pop Stars!

Get ready to turn the classroom into a stage and dance like your favorite pop stars! In this high energy, age-appropriate class, students in 1st-5th grades will learn popular jazz techniques including turns, jumps and kicks that they see their favorite pop stars doing! Teachers will teach combos and choreography to upbeat, popular music with a great dance beat! This class is held at the B-CC Regional Services Center. April 21 : Early Childhood Spring 2 Program Preview

Join UD&M for 30-minute previews of Early Childhood classes. Come move and groove with your young one! Preview classes are held between 12 PM and 3 PM, and are $5. 

April 17 : Maintaining Mental Health as You Age

April 19 : Art After Hours

Join us for an evening of creativity and fun every third Friday of the month. Our adults-only program offers the perfect way to unwind, socialize, and tap into your artistic side in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you come with friends, coworkers, or solo, our Art After Hours is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others. With a BYOB policy, you can sip on your favorite beverage as you create a masterpiece. Monthly projects will be announced two weeks before the event date. April 21 : Adult Spring 2 Program Preview

April 7 - April 28 : Sunday Serenades

Join Montgomery Parks for live music at Cabin John Regional Park. Each week features a different musician or group. The concerts are free to attend, and take place from 10AM - 11:30AM. Cabin John Park is located at 7400 Tuckerman Lane.

April 14 : Concert to Benefit Bethesda Help

Come to Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church at 2 PM for a special concert to benefit Bethesda Help. Tempo Giusto Ensemble and violinist Jinan Laurentia Woo perform music of Mendelssohn, Haydn, Bach, and Britten. This is a free event, but donations are encouraged. Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church is located at 6601 Bradley Boulevard.

April 3 - April 24 : BCC English Conversation Club

Come to the BCC Regional Services Center from 11AM - 12:30PM for the BCC English Conversation Club. Share your experiences and culture with other non-native English speakers in a friendly environment. This event occurs weekly on Wednesdays, including April 3, 10, 17, and 24. April 6 : Chip and Chat

April 18 : History Hour at Josiah Henson Museum

April 13 : An Evening with David Sedaris

Author of numerous New York Times bestsellers, David Sedaris is a master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers. He returns to Strathmore to mesmerize audiences with his trademark acerbic humor, social commentary, and outlandish stories. As a five-time Grammy nominee for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album, Sedaris, who has a knack for live storytelling, skillfully uses humor to write about subjects at the heart of the human condition. April 18 : 50th Anniversary of A Prairie Home Companion

Garrison Keillor launched his live weekly variety radio show, A Prairie Home Companion, in 1974. Although the show ended in 2016, its 50th anniversary is being celebrated with a tour featuring music, comedy sketches, and updates on the day-to-day life of the beloved fictional town of Lake Wobegon, Minnesota—where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average. Keillor will be joined by vocalists Christine DiGiallonardo and Heather Masse, plus the Royal Academy of Radio Actors and other acts, including the comedy skit Guy Noir, Private Eye, an address from the American Duct Tape Council, and an audience singalong. April 6 : Acoustics and Ales and Tails!

April 12 - April 14 : Woman's Club Community Art Show and Sale

The community art show and sale features over 130 artists and 400 works of art. This three day event supports scholarships for art students. Cost to attend: Free. Event hours are Friday, 2-6pm; Saturday & Sunday 11-5pm. The Woman's Club of Chevy Chase is located at 7931 Connecticut Avenue.

April 20 : Earth Day Celebration with Sahaja Yoga

Sahaja Yoga Presents Earth Day Celebration: Art Exhibition, Music, and Meditation. April 27 : Woman's Club of Bethesda Spring Boutique

Every spring the Woman's Club of Bethesda organizes their Spring Boutique to benefit a local non-profit. This year, proceeds from the event will go to support the B-CC Rescue Squad. Browse vendors selling items such as women's fashion, jewelry, home goods, attic finds, fresh flowers and plants, and more! The event will take place from 10 AM to 4 PM.
