Bethesda Urban
Partnership produces year-round events to delight downtown residents,
visitors and guests.

The
Bethesda Literary Festival,
a three-day event celebrating literary artists, is held the
third weekend in April. Literary events are featured throughout
downtown Bethesda’s innovative businesses, arts venues
and community organizations.

Live music
rocks downtown Bethesda May through July during the free outdoor
Summer Concert Series.
Held Wednesday afternoons in the Bethesda Place Plaza and Thursday
evenings in Veterans Park, summer concerts feature music including
rock and roll, jazz, swing and international.

Imagination
Bethesda, held the first Saturday in June,
is a street festival celebrating children and the arts. Imagination
features cultural and educational activities sponsored by local
businesses and organizations, musical entertainment and hands-on
activities for children 12 and under.

Outdoor Movies: Stars on the Avenue, held in
August, features five nights of modern and classic films shown
under the stars in downtown Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle. More

Taste
of Bethesda, held the first Saturday in
October, is a renowned food and music festival featuring 50
of Bethesda's diverse and delicious restaurants. Taste also
features four stages of musical and cultural entertainment.

Bethesda's Winter Wonderland features fun-filled holiday festivities for families during the second weekend in December. Attendees can enjoy a choral concert, Live ice sculpting, holiday performances and more.

Bethesda Farmers Market,
held Tuesdays and Saturdays from May through October in Veterans Park, features
local farmers who sell their fresh fruits, vegetables, breads,
flowers and plants.

apply to BUP for help in staging events within the boundaries of the
Urban District. We encourage groups to use the numerous public spaces
