
The Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards is the visual art prize produced by the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District. The annual juried art competition awards $14,000 in prize monies to four selected artists. The first place winner is awarded $10,000; second place is honored with $2,000 and third place is awarded $1,000. A “young” artist whose birth date is after April 20, 1979 will also awarded a $1,000 prize.
Up to nine artists will be selected as finalists for the 2009 Trawick Prize Awards and exhibit and have their selected work on exhibit at the Fraser Gallery during the month of September.
