Joseph Barbaccia, Potomac Falls, VA
Joseph Barbaccia studied at Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Barbaccia received Best in Show at the 2007 National Juried Exhibition at Runnels Gallery, Eastern New Mexico University and Best in Show at the 2004 All Media Exhibition at APEX Gallery in Washington, D.C. His recent work has been featured in exhibitions at Gallery Neptune, Heineman Myers Contemporary Art in Bethesda, MD; the Delaware Center for Contemporary Art in Wilmington, DE; the Corcoran Gallery of Art and Warehouse Gallery in Washington, D.C. and Rocky Mount Arts Center in Rocky Mount, NC.

Ryan Browning, Mount Airy, MD
Ryan Browning graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Curatorial Studios and went on to earn his Master of Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD.Browning was awarded the Mount Royal Fellowship from MICA in 2006 and was a semi-finalist for The Janet & Walter Sondheim Prize in 2008. His work has been featured in exhibitions at Gallery 303 at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT; Gallery 4 and The 500 Gallery in Baltimore, MD; and, Decker Gallery, Fox 3 and Pinkard Gallery at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD.

Lynn Cazabon, Baltimore, MD
Lynn Cazabon’s work has been highlightedin over 20 solo exhibitions of her work and featured in over 40 group exhibitions throughout the country. Most recently her work has been highlighted at the Schroeder Romero, Project Gallery in New York, NY; Montpelier Art Center in Laurel, MD; La Nau in Valencia, Spain and James Backas Gallery, Maryland State Arts Council in Baltimore, MD. Cazabon was awarded the Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Grant in both 2003 and 2006, the Baltimore City Arts & Humanities Individual Artist Grant in 2006 and the Jentel Foundation Artist Residency Fellowship in Banner, WY in 2007.

Warren Craghead III, Charlottesville, VA
Warren Craghead earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA, attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, ME and holds a Master in Fine Arts from the University of Texas in Austin, TX. His work has been featured in exhibitions all over the country and abroad including Gallery Neptune in Bethesda, MD; Gallery 85 in Antwerp, Netherlands; Atkinson Gallery in Southport, England; Agni Gallery in New York, NY; Digging Pitt Gallery in Pittsburgh; PA, Planet Zero in Richmond, VA and the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco, CA.

Dawn Gavin, Baltimore, MD
Dawn Gavinholds a Master of Fine Arts and a Master of Science from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, University of Dundee in Scotland. Gavin’s work has been featured in over 85 exhibitions in the Unites States and abroad. Most recently her work has been on exhibit at the Philadelphia Art Alliance and Crane Art Center in Philadelphia, PA; Rosenberg Gallery at Goucher College in Towson, MD; the Fraser Gallery in Bethesda, MD; Kasser Gallery at Columbia University in New York, NY and Maryland Art Place and Creative Alliance in Baltimore, MD. In 2008, Gavin was a finalist for The Janet & Walter Sondheim Prize which exhibited at The Baltimore Museum of Art in Baltimore, MD.

Bernhard Hildebrandt, Baltimore, MD
Bernhard Hildebrandtearned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI and his Master of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Hoffberger School of Painting.Hildebrandt was selected as a Trawick Prize finalist in 2004 and 2005 and exhibited his work at Creative Partners Gallery in Bethesda, MD. He has had solo exhibitions at C. Grimaldis Gallery in Baltimore, MD; Gallery Olym in Tokyo, Japan; and Lenore Gray Gallery and Gallery One in Providence, RI. In 2005, Hildebrandt was an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, College Park and participated in a summer residency program at the Copper Union School of Art in New York, NY.

Kristin Holder, Washington, D.C.
Kristin Holder holds a Master of Fine Arts in painting from American University in Washington, D.C. She was awarded an Independent Artists Fellowship from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts in 2001, The Abbey Scholar in Painting from The British Academy at Rome in 2002 and second place in The Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards in 2006. Holder’s work has been featured at The Gallery of Alex Lake in Dover, NH; The Katzen Arts Center at American University and Warehouse, both in Washington, D.C.; APT Gallery in Deptford, London and the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, Italy. She is currently serving as a lecturer in the art department at the University of Maryland.

Kay Hwang, Baltimore, MD
Kay Hwang earned her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA.. Her work has been highlighted in solo exhibits at Maryland Art Place and Goya Contemporary in Baltimore, MD; Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, VA and Pentimenti Gallery in Philadelphia, PA, and in numerous group shows in Georgia, New York, Florida and Maryland. Hwang was honored with the Individual Artist Grant from the Maryland State Art Council in 2003 and 2006. She is currently working on her 2008 and 2009 exhibitions at Towson University in Towson, MD; Fine Art Center Gallery at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AK and at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts in Wilmington, DE.

Baby Martinez earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington, D.C, was a resident artist at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and attended the Skowhegan School of Panting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, ME. Martinez was selected as a Trawick Prize finalist in 2005 and 2007 and also a Sondheim Prize finalist in both 2006 and 2007. Maggie Michael, Washington, D.C.
Maggie Michael’s work is held in public collections at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Michael’s holds a Master of Arts from San Francisco State University in California and a Master of Fine Arts from American University in Washington, D.C. She was a Trawick Prize finalist in 2005, won third place in the Bethesda Painting Awards in 2007 and was granted the Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship in 2008. Michaels work has been featured at numerous galleries including G Fine Art in Washington, D.C.; Lump Gallery in Raleigh, NC; Rule in Denver, CO; Arlington Art Center in Arlington VA and the Museum of Art, Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

Youngmi Organ earned her Master of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts in Wilmington, DE, and School 33 Art Center and Montage Gallery in Baltimore, MD. Organ’s work has also been highlighted in group exhibitions at Maryland Art Place and Gallery Imperato in Baltimore, MD; the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.; Art Basel Miami in Miami Beach, FL and other visual art spaces throughout the region. Additionally, Organ has extensive experience as an art instructor and currently serves as faculty at Hood College in Frederick, MD, George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and MICA in Baltimore, MD.

Tony Shore earned his Bachelor of Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD, attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, ME and holds a Master of Fine Arts from Yale University, School of Art in New Haven, CT. Shore was awarded Best in Sjow for the 2005 Bethesda Painting Awards and the Janet and Walter Sondheim Prize in 2007. His work has been featured in exhibits at C. Molly Springfield holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California in Berkeley, CA and received a full scholarship to study at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, ME. Springfield’s work has been highlighted in solo exhibitions at Transformer Gallery and JET artworks in Washington D.C.; Thomas Robertello Gallery in Chicago, IL and Steven Wolf Fine Arts in San Francisco, CA, along with numerous group exhibitions throughout the country. She won third place in the 2006 Trawick Prize, and in 2008 was selected as a finalist for The Janet & Walter Sondheim Prize and honored with the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellowship.

Heide Trepanier, Richmond, VA
Heide Trepanier is a professor in the Painting and Printmaking Department at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA. Trepanier earned her Master of Fine Arts from VCU after studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Chicago, IL and Marchutz School of Art in Aix, France. Her work was highlighted in solo exhibits at the Gary Tatintsian Gallery in Moscow, Russia; Reynolds Gallery in Richmond, VA; Pillar Parra Galleria in Madrid, Spain and Stefan Stux Gallery in New York, NY. Trepanier’s work has also been featured in group exhibitions throughout the country and is held in public collections at the Richmond Public Library and Virginia Museum of Fine Art in Richmond, VA; Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, NY and the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, KY.
