What is Play In A Day?
Play In A Day features six of the Washington, D.C. area’s best theaters and challenges them to write, direct, rehearse and perform original ten-minutes plays within 24-hours. The madness begins with a playwright meeting on Friday evening, March 19th. Then, the playwrights will write through the night, to create their ten-minute plays. When the sun comes up on Saturday, March 20th, the playwrights turn their scripts over to the directors and actors, who rehearse all day to meet the 8pm performance deadline.

Each participating company will create a one-act play based on similar themes and props that the playwrights learn about at the March 19th kick-off meeting.

Is this a family-friendly event?
Bringing children is not recommended, as some material may not be suitable for children.
